With this latest project, our students were given design prompts that included geography and industry from various parts of the world. Victoria H.’s challenge in this project is to design a logo for a florist in Amsterdam. We think she did a swell job.   • Design thinking is a problem-solving approach that emphasizes understanding user needs, ideation, prototyping, and testing. It originated in design but has since been widely adopted in various industries. The process typically involves empathizing with users, defining the problem, ideating potential solutions, prototyping, and testing those solutions. This iterative approach encourages creativity and collaboration, aiming to find innovative solutions that address users’ needs.

Creativity meets technology in this Grade 11 Community Arts project to address local community needs and global challenges. For this innovative initiative, students in Mr. Galang’s class explored the intersection of arts and technology and apply design thinking methodologies to craft imaginative solutions. #showdonttell #communityarts #designthinking

Fred Galang is a true artistic unicorn with 25 years of experience educating the masses on the magic of creativity through visual arts. As a multidisciplinary artist, he is well-versed in conceptual art, painting, drawing, sculpture, digital media, video, photography, design, illustration and branding.
